Fly Tying Instructions
There are plenty excellent books on fly tying and for a beginner a fly tying book is probably the worst first step. Attending a fly tying workshop or learning from a tying friend are ideal ways to learn and watch how to tie flies. Unfortunately, some of you may live a rural area or might not have a fly shop within reasonable distance. Learning the basics is as easy as finding the internet these days. And one of the best resources for fly tying videos has to be YouTube. We resently found set of videos by David Cammiss. These are an excellent source of videos and are a real delight to watch. These are great videos and are a perfect way to begin your fly tying.


Fly Tying Basics Lesson 1
Fly Pattern: Buzzer
Quick and easy trout fly. Experiment with different color thread.
Tie in some lead wire at the head and this pattern works well for a variety of panfish.
